The bABP Story: From Streets to Artifacts
The Origin: A Night, a Line, and a Bin It started in 2020. A crowded nightclub, a long line, and a row of grey industrial trash bins. While everyone was looking at their phones, I was staring at the stickers: Paper, Trash, Mixed, Plastic. Bold, functional, and completely ignored by the world. In that moment, the vision was born: what if we took these urban artifacts and placed them where they "don't belong"? What if the labels of the street became the labels of fashion?
The Philosophy: Be Aware, Be Pocket (bABP) Inspired by the legendary Bruce Lee’s "Be Water" philosophy, bABP is an ironic evolution. We don't ask you to fit into a mold; we ask you to be the vessel of your own expression. Our name is a hidden Easter egg, a nod to the "B-Pocket" concept — carrying the weight of the city with the lightness of irony.
Not Just a Cap. A Statement. We work with the visual language of the streets. Our signature detail — the repurposed bin-sticker labels — is a 1/1 original artifact. No two labels are identical, because no two moments in the city are the same. We take what the world calls "waste" and re-engineer it into tactile street statements.
The Irony of Utility While others put lions or goats on their hats to project power, we use the symbols of the urban landscape. It’s a different kind of confidence. It’s for those who find beauty in the grit, soul in the sidewalk, and irony in the everyday.
bABP is a concept-driven lab from the West Coast. We engineer artifacts for those who know that sometimes, the most sophisticated statement is the one hidden in plain sight.
